Enabling real-life 3G Streaming

Lillestrom, NORWAY -- September 14, 2004 --
Ximpo Group has announced the first real-life interoperability tests of 3G streaming multimedia delivery enabled by its RTSP NAT-Gateway technology.

Leading vendors in mobile phone and network technologies conducted the interoperability tests in Lillestrom this week, using Ximpo's technology as a bridge between 3G phones/handheld devices, and the streaming servers hosted in the SuperOp! event, organized by the IMTC.

This announcement was made shortly after 14 leading vendors, members of the IMTC PSS Activity Group (PSS-AG), completed an interoperability testing event, the first one ever performed over a live, commercial 3G network, provided by Norway's Mobile Operator "Telenor".
